Even in a galaxy far, far away...

You may know I play in a Star Wars LARP - Live Action Role Play. LARP is like Dungeons & Dragons, except YOU are the character. You're wearing a costume, improv acting, performing whatever your character is doing, and staying in character for the entire event. This can get pretty physical. We have battles with padded lightsabers and nerf blasters, and there's a lot of running around in the woods of "Selvaris." Towards the end of the weekend, people can get pretty sore, and the camp beds don't help much.

My character is Rutiki, a jeweler, who delights in bringing beauty to Selvarin citizens. She only has rudimentary medic "healing" skills. Even so, when a fellow player is hurting, I can't resist trying to ease their pain, and I wind up doing quick medical massages for people in the cantina.
Our game uses the Holonet, a dedicated website, for in-game information and communication. One of the most popular features is the Gossip column, where players can post short messages. Usually they are social or political (Rebels vs. Empire), but after the last game someone posted this:

("Dank farrik" is a curse word in the Star Wars universe).
I can't tell you how much that tickled me. Even in a galaxy far, far away, I can't help but make people feel better. I think my next character will be a doctor. :)
